6 on 6 Women’s Volleyball
Ladies, get your teams together and sign up for the Fall Volleyball league! This league will be 6 on 6, call your own game! Games will be on Thursday nights beginning Sept. 24.

NEW-NEW-NEW
Burlington Promotions and BRC are teaming up to offer an evening of fun @ Kelley Park. Free hot dogs, chips and bottled water will be served while supplies last. Hayrack rides around the park, along with the candy hunt, costume contest, pumpkin decorating and an outdoor movie are some of the things in the works. The event is scheduled for Saturday, October 17. Mark your calendars and look for more details to be published in September! (This event takes the place of the costume contest & candy hunt BRC usually has at the high school.)


Garage Sale ‘Gym’Boree
Just in time for the holidays is the 13th annual Garage Sale ‘Gym’boree! Clean out your closets and set up a booth in the warmth of the Rec Center gym. The fee to participate is $5, which helps cover the cost of advertisement. Each 8 X 10’ booth space will be given one 8’ table to use. Vendors must remain set-up for the entire time!

Christmas Craft Fair
It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Christmas seems to come faster every year and this year will be no exception! Come to the 41st annual Christmas Craft Festival to shop for gifts and decorating items! A large variety of homemade arts and crafts will fill the gym, commons, and hallways of the Burlington High School! Several area businesses will hold their open houses on this day, so plan to spend the day right here in Burlington!

Join us for the 18th annual Craft and Gift Annex! Once again we will offer additional Craft Festival shopping at Burlington Middle School! Crafters who do not fit in the High School, direct sales, home-based businesses, etc. will be selling their wares here. Stop by for some great gift items!

Christmas Parade 2020
“2020 Vision of Christmas” is the theme for the 2020 Burlington Promotions Christmas Parade. Get your float together and plan to be a part of this fun, lighted parade! To register for the parade, contact Ronda Gilbert at the Coffey County Housing Authority or Patty Ann Sanborn at State Farm Insurance.

Morning Water Aerobics

Chair Aerobics w/ Salli
Chair aerobics is an alternative way to exercise when you can’t stand up and workout. It is excellent for those with limited mobility, recovering from an injury or for those just wanting to try something different. Balance, strength and endurance exercises are all part of this class.

Deep Stretch/Flexibilty
A great way to cool down following the aerobics class or stretch before the lifting class. Work on your flexibility & improve your workouts by helping your muscles return to their optimal length tension relationship. Stretching is so important but often left out of a persons regime.

Aquatics for Arthritis
This Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Program is a water exercise program for people with arthritis and related conditions. It was developed jointly by the Arthritis Foundation and the YMCA of the USA and is currently supported by the Aquatics Exercise Association. AFAP is designed to reduce fatigue, pain and stiffness, and improve mobility, muscle strength, and coordination.

The course will be led by instructor, Lindsay Beyer.

Don’t let life pass you by—get out of your chair and move! Join 55+ and Fit and work towards some
rewarding incentives! You can walk, bike, swim, lift weights, take class, etc. Any activity can be chosen, but should be 15-20 minutes long or longer and done at BRC to count as a workout. Keep track of your progress on the flowchart downstairs and see how close you are to the next incentive prize! If you need accountability, find our fitness flyer and join one of our many class options!
