Plan to spend the July 4th holiday right here in Burlington! Enjoy a cool dip at the outdoor pool from
1:00–5:00 PM. Veterans and seniors (55+) receive FREE admission, and all other patrons get $1.00 off
regular admission. Stick around for a fireworks display at dusk at Kelley Park!
The Great Puzzle Showdown
Think you’ve got what it takes to out-puzzle the competition? Gather your team of four and join us
for a 500-piece puzzle challenge where speed and strategy matter. Snacks and drinks are welcome, so
come ready to relax, laugh, and compete. First place takes home bragging rights and a prize—and
every team keeps their puzzle!
Wednesday, July 8th, Deadline to sign up is Monday, June 22nd.

Family Game Night
Roll, Play, Connect
Bring the whole family and join us for a relaxed evening of games, laughter, and community fun! Families are invited to bring a favorite board game from home or jump right in with a variety of games available at the Recreation Center. Whether you enjoy classic favorites,strategy games, or quick card games, there’s something for everyone to enjoy together.
This is a free, drop-in event designed for all ages—no registration required. Feel free to bring along your favorite snacks and drinks to share with your group as you play. It’s a great way to meet other families,unplug from screens, and spend quality time together.

OK KIDS 5K & Mile Fun Run
Join us for our 2nd Annual OK KIDS 5k & Mile Fun Run to kick off the weekend. You can register in

Be sure to mark Saturday, August 8 on your calendar! Swim, bike, and run as an individual,
or grab two friends and enter the team triathlon. Coffey County Circuit participants can earn 3
points by entering an individual triathlon. Team participants earn 1 point.
Registration begins at 7:30 AM.

2026 Fitness Challenge
Keep your fitness promise this year! Walk, run, swim, bike, lift—or do any combination that works
for you. The goal is simple: move your body with intention. We’re here to encourage you every step
of the way. Stay accountable, stay focused, and stay consistent with the BRC Fitness Challenge! Check
out the Fitness Challenge handout (at the front desk), follow the simple steps, and get started
today. Let’s do this!
Steps to the Fitness Challenge
* Must have an active BRC Membership to participate
* Select your point level fitness goal from the chart at the bottom of this page
* Earn points with any physical activity—walk, run, swim, bike, lift, and more. Just follow the
points sheet to track your progress toward your goal!
* Track your points each time you exercise. (Refer to the BRC Fitness Challenge Points
Equivalency Sheet to tally the points for the activity you have completed)
* You can earn 5 bonus points a day if you complete your workout at the Rec Center
* Turn in Fitness Challenge Worksheet daily, weekly or monthly. Totals are tallied and
posted monthly.
* BRC Fitness Challenge will have a prize for all who meet their goal.
Points are charted from January 1 through December 31
