6 on 6 Women’s Volleyball
Ladies, get your teams together for our annual 6 on 6 women’s volleyball league. This is a “call your own game” league with no officials present. Games will be on Wednesday nights and will run approximately 6 weeks long.

BOOFEST
Burlington Promotions and BRC are teaming up to offer an evening of fun @ Kelley Park. Free hot dogs, chips and bottled water will be served while supplies last. Hayrack rides around the park, candy cannon along with the candy hunt, costume contest, pumpkin decorating, money dig, pumpkin patch, hot wheels racing and touch a truck. The event is scheduled for Saturday, October 12. Mark your calendars and look for more details to be published in September! (This event takes the place of the costume contest & candy hunt BRC usually has at the high school.)
4 on 4 Women’s Volleyball
Ladies, come out and join us for some “call your own game” 4 on 4 volleyball. Games will begin November 8th and run for approximately 6 weeks.

Christmas Craft Fair
It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Christmas seems to come faster every year and this year will be no exception! Come to the 45th annual Christmas Craft Festival to shop for gifts and decorating items! A large variety of homemade arts and crafts will fill the gym, commons, and hallways of the Burlington High School! Several area businesses will hold their open houses on this day, so plan to spend the day right here in Burlington!

Join us for the 20th annual Craft and Gift Annex! Once again we will offer additional Craft Festival shopping at Burlington Middle School! Crafters who do not fit in the High School, direct sales, home-based businesses, etc. will be selling their wares here. Stop by for some great gift items!

Christmas Parade 2024
“Bright Lights, Christmas Delights” is the theme for the 2024 Burlington Promotions Christmas Parade. Get your float together and plan to be a part of this fun, lighted parade! To register for the parade, contact Ronda Gilbert at the Coffey County Housing Authority.

Holiday Homes Tour
The Christmas spirit will be everywhere as you attend the Holiday Homes Tour! Area homes will be decked out for the Christmas season. This is a great place to get decorating ideas, so grab your friends or sign up to ride the Recreation Center van and enjoy a Sunday afternoon of fun! Tickets can be purchased at Hoover’s Thriftway or BRC. Tickets for the home tour must be purchased at BRC or Hoover’s Thriftway in advance for $7 or at the door for $10. If you plan to ride the BRC van, you will need to purchase that ticket from BRC for and additional $2.

Men’s League Basketball
Men, dust off those old sneakers and call up the boys for our adult 5 on 5 basketball league. Games will be played on Wednesday nights for approximately 6 weeks beginning on January 15.

We are excited to offer a new opportunity and league for our patrons with the newly installed golf simulator. Grab a golfing buddy and join the league!

Morning Water Aerobics
Do you enjoy the water? Start your morning off with this great water aerobic class. Everyone is welcome, young and old. This is a class for all fitness levels. You are encouraged to work at your own pace and enjoy the water and camaraderie of your classmates!

Chair Aerobics with Linda
Chair aerobics is an alternative way to exercise when you can’t stand up and workout. It is excellent for those with limited mobility, recovering from an injury or for those just wanting to try something different. Balance, strength and endurance exercises are all part of this class.

Pickleball
Pickleball is a combination of tennis, badminton and ping pong and is something all ages can play. The rules are simple, the game is easy to learn, and you can have fun playing immediately. Players use the app Playtime Scheduler to schedule game times. Contact us for more information to help you get set up with the app.

Aquatics for Arthritis
This Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Program is a water exercise program for people with arthritis and related conditions. It was developed jointly by the Arthritis Foundation and the YMCA of the USA and is currently supported by the Aquatics Exercise Association. AFAP is designed to reduce fatigue, pain and stiffness, and improve mobility, muscle strength, and coordination. The course will be led by instructor, Lindsey Beyer.
