Under Executive Order 20-04 that was issued by Governor Laura Kelley on March 17, 2020:
Burlington Recreation will remain closed and will need to cancel ALL activities that have been scheduled through May 1st. Those individuals who have enrolled
will be given full refunds.
This order is effective immediately and will remain in effect
until one of the following occurs:
Until Governor Kelley rescinds the order
Until May 1, 2020
Until the State of Disaster Emergency expires
In these extraordinary times it is important that we proceed responsibly and continue to
keep in mind the value of every life.
BRC looks forward to the return of normalcy and the continuation of our summer programs, WHEN it is safe to do so. Staff will be using this extended time to continue planning for a great summer, meeting the maintenance needs of our facilities, and preparing the outdoor pool for the upcoming season.
We appreciate your continued patience and cooperation during this difficult time.
As a reminder, this closure is in response to the current public health crisis. The focus should remain on preventing the spread of the Coronavirus, or COVID-19
as it is also referred.
Please be mindful of the following:
Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
Cover your nose and mouth when coughing and sneezing. Cough/sneeze into your sleeve or a tissue.
